BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Youth Creator Gel-Cream

Size: 1.7 oz (50 ml)

BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Youth Creator Gel-Cream is a light but potent anti-aging gel-cream powerfully formulated for people looking to regenerate skin and increase the lifespan of skin cells, while repairing damage and restoring firmness and elasticity. It uses cutting-edge stem cell biotechnology and a patented encapsulated retinol complex to promote cell turnover to improve texture and tone without increasing sun sensitivity. Just like all of Truth In Aging’s products, we've made sure to adequately test and review BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Youth Creator Gel-Cream, so that you can be completely confident that this item will firm and revitalize your skin. BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Youth Creator Gel-Cream uses Globularia Cordifolia Stem Cell Extract to mend damaged proteins, increasing firmness and elasticity in skin. A tripeptide-3 blend encourages collagen and elastin synthesis, which in turn reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Silk Amino Acid blend re-texturizes and strengthens skin, while Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) penetrates active ingredients even deeper into the layers of skin.

TIA Review by Marta:
BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Gel Cream is new from the BRAD line, maker of my favorite Multi-Peptide Serum and it is a very unique product. The name is entirely accurate: it is rather sublime and really is the perfect hybrid of a gel and cream. What’s great about it is that there is both instant and deferred gratification.

The quick hit is a tightening effect, while over time it is firming and plumping.

Cool to the touch and gliding on easily, Sublime Gel Cream is relaxing to use. This is rather ironic since, in researching this product’s ingredients, I came across a very interesting theory about stress and aging. But I’ll come back to the stress part in a moment.

I prefer to use BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Gel Cream at night. The initial sensation is a little dry and my skin feels tight. This is not unpleasant, but not a feeling I want to start my day with. What I really like is that the next morning, my skin feels surprisingly hydrated and feels soft and firm. BRAD recommends using Sublime for face, eyes and neck and I have found that it works well on all areas.

I am very impressed by the performance of Sublime – especially for firming, and I assume that some of the key actives should take the credit. The standout is a plant stem cell, but don’t expect the ubiquitous apple stem cell here. BRAD’s is Globularia Cordifolia Stem Cell Extract, from a kind of daisy. Sederma (the company that makes Matrixyl and other cutting edge anti-aging ingredients) markets this stem cell extract under the name of Resistem and says that it mimics the body’s defense produced by “hormesis”.

It seems that stress is good for you (bring it on New York City!). Really. As scientists get to understand hormesis, there is a growing body of thought around the idea that mild repetitive stress has anti-aging effects. Exercise would be a good example of causing the body low-level stress while being good for you. According to Wikipedia, “low doses of toxins or other stressors might activate the repair mechanisms of the body”.

From what I can gather, the plant stem cell in BRAD Sublime, by mimicking hormesis, reduces micro-inflammation caused by toxins. Sederma says that Resistem protects the skin’s own stem cells and stimulates sirtuin-1 (an enzyme that contributes to the longevity of cells).

BRAD Sublime’s other heavy hitters are Matrixyl 3000, a combo of two peptides that help boost collagen production, phospholipids, retinol (another reason to make this my night cream), one of BRAD’s perennial favorites, MSM, and tons of amino acids. There are also plenty of botanicals including cucumber, eyebright, and reishi mushroom.

Worth a call out is periwinkle. I’ve been seeing periwinkle extract crop up recently and began to wonder what’s contribution might be. Periwinkle turns out to have an alkaloid used in the treatment of Hodekin’s lymphoma, and the plant’s extracts are thought to increase blood flow. It can also reduce inflammation and act as an astringent.

Scent alert: BRAD Biophotonic Sublime Gel Cream smells of wet leaves with an undertone of cucumber.

By far one of the most expensive products I've ever purchased to date, but one of the best. Performs above expectations, no adverse reactions, makes skin look fantastic, worth every penny.

I am so happy to have discovered the Sublime Youth Creator Radiance Concentrate. It's proving to be the perfect antidote to the fine lines have been appearing more and more lately. I use it nightly (I'll also use it after P50 or another acid toner). It absorbs perfectly and the scent is so beautiful -- it reminds me of a long-forgotten rose fragrance from my childhood. My skin looks smooth and feels very soft in the morning and has my husband paying me regular compliments on how it looks. I love the ingredients, too. My only complaint would be with the cap. It is a funny fit and the plastic seems incongruous with the gorgeous miron glass.

Using Brad Biophotonic Sublime Youth Creator Gel-Cream with the Biophotonic Sublime Youth Creator Concentrate for three weeks, but I'm not over the moon with the performance from these products as I had hoped. Both are uniquely formulated, texture like nothing used before, absorbs quickly, not irritating, but haven't noticed an huge difference in my skin yet. With continued use I hope to get the type of results reported by others.

Hi Elena, it is a bit of myth that all products oxidize when the jar is opened. Modern formulas are properly tested for stability over time. Furthermore, BRAD uses miron glass, which is a specially made form of glass to preserve products for longer. Just replace the lid after use and it will be fine.

Since this product comes in a jar and the ingredients likely start oxidizing every time the cream is exposed to the air, should this be kept in a cool dark place, like the fridge door? And would a cooler environment affect the active ingredients?

This is by far the most immediately effective product I have ever used! I saw immediate results the first time I used it. I had used it along with another new cleansing product so at first I wasn't sure if it was specifically one product or the combination of products. So I alternated it with another product and I'm certain that it's this one that leaves an immediate change in tightening, firming, plumpness and even overall skin tone, and moisture! I love the cucumber scent and I was surprised at how hydrated my skin was from the gel. It's just the re-charge I needed!

I love using this gel-cream by Brad. I apply it after the Brad Sublime Radiance serum and they work well together. These 2 Sublime products are my absolute favorites of all. I added these to my regimen specifically because they have the perfect combination of ingredients. Product is expensive, but it lasts me 4-5 months - depending on whether I alternate with other products.

The Sublime gel-cream treats and hydrates. I've never successfully used a retinol product before due to sensitivity, but Brad's encapsulated retinol has been great for me. I'm 63 and before I started with Brad, my skin was persistently dry and dehydrated, crepey. The results are - my skin looks smoother, healthier (glowy), the tone is better & definitely not dry and dehydrated anymore.

I also love the way it makes my skin feel after it is absorbed. Although I can feel that it deeply hydrates, it doesn't leave a heaviness on top of my skin which is nice in this broiling summer heat. (In the colder months, I use the Brad Ultra Firming Cream for extra moisture.)

Sometimes I laugh at product names, but "youth-creator" seems appropriate to me. Am very happy with the results and all the compliments. Love it when much younger people ask me what skincare I use.

Can this be used with the media8 firewall and growth factor products? Would you continue using the ultra lift and multi peptide serums too?
