La Vie Celeste Restorative Exfoliating Gel Mask uses a unique formulation of bamboo grains and the purest grade glycolic acid to exfoliate, without being harsh or abrasive. Skin is deeply hydrated and nourished with hyaluronic acid, and calmed with the addition of white tea. The result is a complexion that looks completely revitalized and clear.
Apply to clean, slightly damp skin. Start by warming up a small amount of gel into palm of hand. Gently massage gel into skin (about 1 minute) to speed up the exfoliation process. Leave on for an additional 5 minutes (may be left on for up to 20 minutes) before rinsing with warm water. Sensitive skin types may want to rinse after 2 minutes for the first few treatments. Avoid eye area and rinse immediately if you experience irritation or burning. A slight tingling sensation is normal. Suitable for all skin types except very sensitive.
TIA Review by Marta:
This facial mask is one of my favorite products of all time. I am on my third pot and it is my go to for a dewy, refreshed complexion. It is formulated with a gentle, but effective 5% glycolic concentration that is a terrific skin brightener.
Glycolic acid is regarded by skincare professionals as one of the breakthrough ingredients of the last 20 years. It is a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) naturally found in sugar cane. As the AHA with the smallest molecule and the greatest penetration, glycolic acid deeply exfoliates to remove skin that is dry, coarse, or dead. For kick starting a serious anti-aging skin regimen, it is essential.
La Vie Celeste has ensured glycolic's brightening and smoothing effects are given a helping hand by exfoliating bamboo grains, licorice and bearberry extract, which is loaded with alpha arbutin a natural (safer) hydroquinone. Organically sourced antioxidants include white tea (supposedly better than green tea) and melon. An aloe base ensures this mask is soothing.
