Mukti Marigold Hydrating Creme

It’s always a special treat when I discover a new skin care product that lives up to its promise.  Mukti Marigold Hydrating Creme ($52.72) is definitely one of those products.  My dry skin feels wonderfully hydrated and soft, a feeling that lasts all day.  Open the jar to a rich, white cream, which at first seems thick, but as you begin to apply it, is readily absorbed. I wait a very short time, no longer than any other cream, before applying makeup.

After a month of use, I continue to enjoy the very pleasant and refreshing scent, the end result of many of the natural extracts,  such as willow bark and Kakadu plum.  Kakadu plum contains the world’s highest concentration of nutrient available vitamin C.  Willow bark soothes and calms irritated skin as it hydrates.  Cornflower, another key ingredient, soothes and moisturizes, while it is also a natural anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and antioxidant. Calendula (marigold) extract has amazing healing properties used for many stubborn and difficult skin conditions and helps stimulate and form new tissue.  Each ingredient in this product helps sooth and hydrate.  If you are interested in learning about the qualities of natural ingredients from A to Z, a trip to Mukti’s web site is well worth the visit. It’s quite a learning experience.

In its fifteen years since inception, Mukti has become a well-respected and successful Australian brand, yet it remains family owned.  The company’s philosophy reflects a commitment to sustainable living, and producing 100% natural plant-based and organic products, free of any harmful chemicals. Their guiding principles are to be sustainable, ethical and organic.  You may take comfort, as I do, using products from companies with such nurturing philosophies. Made from only certified organic ingredients, users have credited Marigold Hydrating Creme with relieving eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis problems. I cannot personally attest to that, but it is so soothing and skin-calming, I can see where it would help those continuing skin conditions. If you are in less need of a rich moisturizer than my 60+-year-old skin, I would still recommend having it on hand as part of your night time routine or for after those days in the sun, when your skin needs some special TLC.  Priced around $50, Marigold Hydrating Creme is a product that won’t break the bank, yet gives you everything you need in a cream, working just as well as many pricey luxury creams I’ve used.  While great for any skin type, it’s particularly wonderful for dry skin.  Between the price and generously sized jar, you can be liberal with use.  I apply to my neck at night and to any dry or chapped spots that need more help than my usual body lotion.

Mukti’s Marigold Hydrating Creme is a winner. This product will become part of my year round daily skin care routine.
