Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Moisture Cushion Oil-Free Moisturizer provides lightweight yet effective hydration for dewy, plump skin all day long. Hyaluronic acid is a unique hydrating agent that draws moisture into your skin, allowing for a deeply quenched feeling without heavy creams or fillers. Our reviewer loved the comfortable feel and vivacious look this moisturizer provided, and we're sure you'll enjoy it too! This unique, gel-cream hybrid absorbs quickly without any greasy feeling thanks to hydrating hyaluronic acid.

This recently upgraded product now has sea crocus. Watermelon extract provides free-radical combating antioxidants as glycolic acid, lactic acid and sugar cane gently remove dead skin cells throughout the day. Plus, Dr. Dennis Gross' products are vegan and cruelty & paraben free.

Tested for At Least 30 days and Reviewed by Marta:
Hydration and its retention is a key element in Dr. Dennis Gross‘ skin care philosophy. Aging skin gets drier and dry skin looks older. He was most insistent that my regimen of testers from his line – along with the brilliant Alpha Beta and a vitamin C serum – include Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion. A cool blue with a light, whipped texture and a surprisingly refreshing feeling on impact with the skin, it is very different from a typical creamy moisturizer. I really like it – despite having to get past the first handful of silicones and polymers. This moisturizer is wonderfully absorbent and does its job all day. I started out using it at night, but found that it worked best for me as a day cream as it has a slightly matting effect for my somewhat shine-prone skin. I would recommend it for anyone looking for intense hydration without any of the unwanted side effects that can come with a rich cream – this is an oil-free moisturizer that is non-clogging and non-greasy. Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion lives up to its name with a cushiony bounce that meets the first dip of the finger in the pot. The moisturizer’s unusual consistency seems to be enveloping and soothing the skin and it feels incredibly comfortable all day long. A soft dewy look is still apparent at the end of a working day. According to Dr. Dennis Gross, the sodium hyaluronate draws in the moisture and then seals it in. It is ably backed up by phospholipids, another ingredient that draws in and retains moisture. Amongst the botanicals, I like watermelon extract, which contains antioxidant lycopenes. Another is cinnamon bark, which has been shown by studies to improve lipid function (lipids are the building blocks of cells). The formula is rounded out by several skin brighteners including glycolic acid, lactic acid and sugar cane – all are natural alpha hydroxyl acids that help exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells. While not for purists, the good far outweighs the bad in this well-performing product. Got Questions? Contact Us

Our Take

Since I first discovered gel-creams, I’ve been a fan. My skin is combination — dry and oft-flaky with an oily t-zone — prone to breakouts (especially those that are hormonal in nature) and speckled with large pores. I find that gel moisturizers absorb easily without leaving a slick... read more

I am absolutely enamored with Dr. Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion Oil-Free Moisturizer. Since I've moved back to Houston from North Carolina, I've ENTIRELY underestimated my skin's need for moisture in my skin care products. It wasn't until I added this product over both my A.M. and P.M. regimens (which I've fortunately pared down!!) in highly dry skin areas for me--my forehead (which I'm constantly working on to minimize life-long expression lines which turned into deep furrows), around the upper part of my cheek bones and around the "crow's feet" area, all around my nasolabial areas and a TINY bit on my neck. It just takes a tiny bit of product to go a LONG way towards waking up in the morning w/ moisturized, plumper skin. Likewise, in the evening upon arriving home after exposure to Houston's dreadful humidity AND POLLUTION. It SEEMS like humidity would DECREASE one's need for moisture. I KNOW that when I lived in N.C. and my skin was peeling and dry in my 30's, I had to use a ton of moisturizing product. I stopped doing so when I moved here. However, what happens here: in the summer, air conditioners in commercial areas and places such as hospitals are set VERY low without added humidity. Likewise, in the winter (what little cold weather we experience!)--the heat is cranked up without added moisture. So, parenthetically, despite our usual 90+++% humidity, one DOES need to add moisture to one's skin. This product has a lovely slip, no discernible scent, and layers well with other products.

This moisturiser is light blue and feels amazing. Light and dewy, cool and fresh, it penetrates the skin instantly. I was surprised that my skin looked and felt hydrated after just one application. It looked so much better. I felt like I had younger looking skin instantly! This wonderful dewy hydration lasts all day. I am so impressed!

I can’t imagine a better moisturizer (regardless of skin type or age) for hot steamy weather than the Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion, which is oil-free: it was just perfect for the summer and kept my skin feeling comfortable and hydrated, but it’s extremely lightweight and grease-free. The texture is simply irresistible, almost frothy, and it just glides on — I used it every morning.
