    Medik8 Hydr8 Night

Sadly, I have to report that Medik8 Hydr8 Night ($36) did not work well for me. My initial concern was with the heavy fragrance. It has a very strong and overwhelming perfume that is not pleasant and reminds me of an old-fashioned cold cream. More problematic, however, was that it made my face feel slightly tingly and irritated. I am not sure if that was from the fragrance, but I feel strongly that unnecessary perfumes don’t belong in skin care, and that a tingling sensation doesn't mean a product is working—only that it is irritating your skin.

Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Prime Sleep Tight Mask

I just finished a tub of the Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Prime cream, when I was given the opportunity to try the Osmotics Blue Copper 5 Prime Sleep Tight Mask ($85). I was pleased with the results of the cream, but wondered what more could the mask offer. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it performed just as impressively as the cream, if not more.

    Cleanse, Tone and Exfoliate

After years of never bothering to wash my face at night (gasp), I finally got myself into a re ...Read More...

BRAD Biophotonic Essential Elixir Pore-Tightening Resurfacing Replenishing Serum

When I received the BRAD Biophotonic Essential Elixir Pore-Tightening Resurfacing Replenishing Serum ($95), I had already been using a couple of Paula’s Choice chemical exfoliants for a few weeks. I was really liking the results, so I was excited to try another type of daily exfoliant to compare.

I’m in my 30s, and after years of being a physical exfoliating junkie, I now find myself struggling with thinner skin, redness and broken capillaries. I’ve compl ...Read More...

    Osmosis Correct Review

I’m sorry to report that Osmosis Correct Skin Serum was not for me. In fairness, it had a lot to live up to as I had just tried and loved the Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum ($34), and finishing that up that made me eager to try something new.

Osmosis’ website touts this product as a "moderate activity serum for normal and/or aging skin" that will remodel and repair skin while building collagen. While I’m not sure what they mean by "moderate a ...Read More...
